On June 3rd and 4th Pittsboro Youth Theaters very experienced High School cast will perform "The Illiad, The Odyssey and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less."
Young children and adults with delicate constitutions should consult their physicians before attending this comedy play.

Hearty adults and children who attend this play will experience extreme fits of laughing, systemic euphoria, sensory overload, difficulty keeping track of all the action, gods, goddesses, rulers, wars, warriors, etc..

This play is lightning-fast comedy! Drinking coffee before or during performances is not advised.

FAQs About PYT Play Casts

Folks are starting to ask questions about Fall 2017 already. Awesome! Thank you for your interest. Following is info. that may answer many questions about children joining PYT play casts.

"We won't determine specifics of Fall 2017 season until mid-summer-ish or so.

Web pages and online sign up application will be tweaked for that season after the summer play/camps are up and running.


In answer to your questions:


- Time Committment - Figure 2 rehearsals per week from early September through show date in late November or early Dec.

     ...There will be a couple/3 extra rehearsals right before the shows

     ...Elementary rehearsals run 1 hour 15 minutes Wednesdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 9am (Middle school rehearsals are longer, High school rehearsals are longer yet.)

     ...Cast members have to practice their lines between rehearsals (parents participation in this is GREAT!)

     ...There will be 3 or 4 shows (performances) around 1 weekend in late

     ...$125 monthly cast member fee for elementary cast members, $140 for Middle School, $150 for High School casts.,

     ...$75 one-time elementary production fee due about a month before performances to cover sets, props, etc. ($85 for Middle and High School)

     ...$??? for tickets, popcorn, soda pop, donations, CFTA membership/sponsorship, art class registrations, movies, ....There are lots and lots of ways to support your local Community Arts Center with time, effort and dollars.
